The person who mentioned The Partridge Family, David Cassidy, Shaun Cassidy, and the Brady Bunch is correct.
I would like to add "The Bay City Rollers". I think they had one hit (Saturday Night?) and a Saturday morning TV show.
I would also add The Monkees.
(edited: I see they've already been discussed)

Foreigner sucks lol. Lou Gramm's first solo album was pretty good though.

Today The Monkees are "cool" with rock & roll fans.
There are some Monkees tunes that are really good. I listen to What Am I Doing Hanging Around? and You Told Me a good bit

I was a college guy in the early 70s, we would have never admitted in public to being into Three Dog Night or Chicago, you hid those albums in the top of the closet, and only played them in private or when your girlfriend was over.

Nice troll, but Kiss in the same sentence with Black Sabbath should be a misdemeanor, at the very minimum.
Styx was Pop Rock, like the Cars.

So I'll admit to listening to Creed in middle school. I certainly cringe thinking back to some of it. But the other day I heard a song from their first album. Maybe it was just nostalgia back to what I listened to back then, but it wasn't that bad. And I remember NB songs from before they were famous-famous (or infamous). I wonder if those bands would have stopped there, if they would have gone down as just mediocre bands instead of comical crap rock bands. And I totally agree that they became just terrible. I credit creed for turning me off of radio rock enough to find actual good music. So there's that.
