Sitting here listening to Spotify has me recalling my days as a teenager spending hours on a Saturday afternoon jamming out to all the hot music from the mid to late 90s. loved that place.

I remember the penny CD / Cassette club where said CDs and cassettes were sent via mail.

I also remember Blockbuster Music stores.

I did the penny cd club a couple of years.
I used to buy a lot of singles over CDs.

i remember watching porn on vhs at my buddies house, his dad collected them and we would watch it on a 10 inch vhs tv/player. Oh those were the days, no kids just have it at their finger tips. We would set up eleborate plans to steal and watch it, most of our shaningans would happen at night or when the parents were away

Mid 90s I was heavy in to Freestyle music(Stevie B, Noel, Johnny O,etc). It's heyday was past and blockbuster carried tons of collections. I'd spend hours at College drive and Florida Blvd locations going through them to find the best cds. Ah the days of liking 3 of 15 songs on a cd. And paying about $18 per disc.

Now I have a Spotify playlist "Freestyle" of about 145 songs

I never has to steal porn on VHS or DVDS (still did it but it wasn't the only way) but I do remember having to watch porn on dial up. I would log on to the internet at like 8:30 or so and tell my mom I was trying to download songs to burn cds and it would take like 2 hours to download a 5 minute porn scene.

Yeah my mom took me there a few times after repeatedly begging her. Looking back it so stylized. They had a separate listening station for each top 10 CD. There were a bunch of crazy neon light fixtures. It's not hard to see why they died so fast.

Weren't they the first to let you listen to any CD in the store before you buy? Spent lots of days on those stools trying out new music.

I have no self control when it comes to leaks now for music I'm waiting to hear. I recall the days when the first time I'd hear new music was in my car in the store parking lot with album art and lyrics in hand. It was such a thrill. Now I cheat myself from those little pleasures by downloading shitty leaks

I remember they had this deal where you brought in five old cds and got a new one.

I brought in a Minilli Vanilli and the workers fought over it, found out later it was worth much more than a new cd.
