These 2^ may not have fit in well with the times, but they would have become great producers and both would have been able to find talent. Both were front men who could play guitar.

Cobain would have likely squeezed out 2 more great records, but doubtful Nirvana would have lasted the test of time.

Jackson Frank. True, lived on for some 30 years after his debut album, but most of that was spent suffering from progressive mental illness. Had he found a way to continue writing and playing at the level of career beginnings, I think he might be mentioned along with Dylan, Neil Young, Paul Simon and others as one of the great songwriters of his generation. His song "Blues Run the Game" has been covered by countless artists, including Simon & Garfunkle.
