Not as polarizing as either The Who or Led Zeppelin.
They sold a bunch of records, for sure. I think they're great, but I didn't really listen much past a couple of songs off "The Wall" until I was well into adulthood.
You would think The Beatles would get more universal support, but they replaced Elvis and were kind of directly competing against the Rolling Stones, and both of those fan bases tend to bash the Beatles. The Stones, themselves, get fairly good support on here, although they have their share of detractors.
And what about ZZ Top and the Australian ZZ Top (AC/DC)?

I can listen to Back in Black and Highway to Hell all the way through with no skips.
There aren't a lot of "talented" bands that can do that.

That's because they've been putting out the same song every year since Bon Scott died...the minute you pop in Back in Black, it's 60 minutes of Black in Black with other track titles thrown in just to confuse you

AC/DC is a guilty pleasure.
The Grateful Dead never really impressed me, period. Certainly not in proportion to the whole, decades long, multi-generational Dead Head movement. I recognize they have legions of fans.
