I am torn between The Battle of Los Angeles and Evil Empire. The Live At the Grand Olympic Auditorium album is incredible. I watched their entire set from Woodstock 99 last night and Zack's energy second to none.

Bonus question: What are you top five RATM songs?

For me:
1. Vietnow
2. Roll Right
3. Maria
4. New Millennium Homes
5. Voice of the Voiceless

It's tough to decide between all three studio albums. They all have classics. But if I had to pick one, it's the first one. Just because of how different it was than anything else that came out.

1. Wake Up
2. Sleep Now in the Fire
3. Bulls on Parade
4. Killing in the Name
5. Guerilla Radio

2. Know Your Enemy
3. Bulls on Parade
4. Vietnow
5. Guerilla Radio (that YTimK, though)

Self Titled

1. Born of a Broken Man
2. How I Could Just Kill a Man
3. People of the Sun
4. Know Your Enemy

Damn I forgot about this one! And Microphone Fiend, Pistol Grip Pump, The Ghost of Tom Joad all from Renegades.

In hindsight, it's damn near impossible to have a top 5.

2. "Killing in the Name"
3. "Testify"
4. "Sleep Now in the Fire"
5. "Bullet in the Head"

Often referred to as the greatest collection of live music in the history of time. It really doesn't get any better than this: 7.24.99

Down Rodeo
Vietnow
Year of the Boomerang
War within a breath
No shelter

They got too hip hop-ish for me after their first record, which was awesome.

One of the few bands who didn't put out any garbage. It's like every song was constructed and produced beautifully. Truly an amazing band with a sound like no other while also being lyrically artistic with a purpose and passion behind each song. And probably one of the most dynamic live acts I ever witnessed.

Agreed.

Disagree. The first album was more culturally profound, but I think front to back, Evil Empire was a better album. Sort of like In Utero as a follow up to Nevermind.

But to each their own

Not a big fan of De la Rocha but I loved their funky sound. Tom Morello's guitar work was incredible.
