Chad Sexton/ P-Nut (311)
Chad Smith/ Flea (RHCP)

The chads are two of my favorite drummer. They know how to make the drums work into a song instead of take over or fade away.

Paul Chambers/Philly Joe Jones (Miles Davis)
Ron Carter/Tony Williams (Miles Davis)
Paul Jackson/Harvey Mason (Herbie Hancock - Headhunters)
Victor Wooten/JD Blair

Doug and Jerry are a great call, and fine singers to boot. Got to hang with Gaskill in Jersey a couple months ago and it was tough not to be a complete derp with those guys being one of my favorite bands.

I'd throw in Stanley Clarke and Lenny White for one of the best fusion combos ever.

I think Tony Kanal/Adrian Young are just a bit overrated.

Big asterisk here for later work, but in their day Dusty Hill and Frank Beard were killer.

I've still yet to find a modern drummer on Steve Jordan's level.
