I say Sammy. Dave has always been a douche.

Van Halen every time

I like the fact that they looked like they were having a lot more fun with Sammy but, I prefer the music of Van Halen.

They had some good songs with Sammy but the band was on another level with David Lee Roth.

Diamond Dave

But they did some great songs with Sammy. Hell, they even did good ballads with him.

If I'm being honest, I have to say Sammy. But sometimes I have to say DLR.

But, as someone who went to his first Van Halen concert in 1981, and has seen them 5 or 6 times, I can honestly say that the current VH can eat a bag of AIDS dicks.

I prefer to remember them as the rock gods they were in the 70s, 80s, and early 90s.

This we can agree on. Sometimes bands just need to know when to quit.

Posted in the other thread that my first concert was Van Halen Diver Down tour in 1982. I wouldn't want to see them in concert now. I much prefer to remember them in their prime.

Saw them play in NOLA a few years back when they went on tour. Dave sucks now. He forgot the words to Dance the Night Away and they just turned up the volume coming from the instruments and bumped down Dave's mic volume. Shortly after that show they cancelled a bunch of tour dates too. I like the songs recorded with Dave better, But they just need to give it up.

Sammy by a mile, when I see a carnival hawker, I always think of DLR.

Van Halen played fun songs with Dave.

Van Hagar eliminated two great bands.
