Concrete Blonde-God is a Bullet
Came out in 1989, always loved this song and it showed up on my way to work today in the car

Damn. I would have sworn it was 10 years earlier. Oh well. Guess my age is affecting my memory.

I don’t know if it’s considered underrated, but I heard it on the radio and had forgot all about this song so added it to my playlist.

I didn't appreciate them until Gary Jules' alteration of the music for the song, which improved it immeasurably.

The last track on Pyromania
This track "Billy's Got A Gun" in particular, but the album has the best use of programmed drums in rock history.
Bluesy, melodic, great guitars by Steve Clark (RIP) and Pete Willis (although he was not in the band for the *ahem* "hysteria" surrounding Pyromania, his rhythm tracks from the recording sessions are on the final release) riffs.
This sort of caps the pre-Phil Collen era of Def Leppard on a fricking high note, baws.
ETA: AlxTgr, SO glad you're here.

A few more
Yazoo - Situation
Big Audio Dynamite - Rush
Joy Division - Love Will Tear Us Apart
I really wanted to put on Dreaming by Blondie, but alas it came out in late '79.

As a fellow longtime Leppard fan, I always look forward to your posts to see if you’ll present some inane piece of band history that I wasn’t aware of.

Ministry - So What?
Just barely makes the decade. I like the entire album. I just consider it their 90's sound. Nothing quiet like experiencing Al live in a small venue.
Mid 80's Ministry, I always like Over the Shoulder(remix)
Many a good times listening to this song on blotter and/or double domes.

I never got to see Ministry in a small venue but I did get to see Pigface in a small venue in 94 or 95? They had William Rieflin, Paul Barker, Chris Connelly of Ministry in the lineup that night. Got to meet Martin Atkins in the parking lot before the show. That was a wild night.. .

Not sure how we're defining underrated, but my vote is for The Ghost In You by Psychedelic Furs.
