Hissing Fauna, You are the Destroyer is one of the best albums of the 00s IMO. But really there just aren't many bands I love from the Southeast apparently. I may be forgetting some, but finding five bands worthy was tough.

How in the hell is Texas considered southeast?

Maybe they meant "Southern" Rock, and not specifically "Southeast" Rock bands?

Southern Rock is an actual genre

Remember these are all different:

Southern rock
Country Rock
Rockabilly

I'm a huge jj grey and mofro fan but that's more blues. Also been on a Lucero kick lately and can't explain what they are.
