Well it will be hard to make a vote on albums we haven't heard yet. Just pick 5 from the list. The ones not used can be added to another list (i know how much you like to make lists) that will be stashed for later weeks.

This seems fair.

Black Books album is self titled and not on youtube but I think you can stream it here LINK

Both Black Books and Meatbodies are on Spotify though

They call it Southern Dream Pop

This is probably a better link to the album LINK

was thinking I might just keep the list of nominations up and you can listen to whatever you want on the list, and then maybe at the end of the week we could do some sort of ranking of them

I'd hate to pick 5 of them and leave out the best 2-3 ones every week. This way you have more options to listen to, and we can figure out the best ones by listening, not just me picking them out.

Too many might make it difficult to get everyone's thoughts in.

Whatever albums everyone throws up, you pick the 5.

Agree with Panic that it should stay at 5 moving forward next week.

Too many would limit discussion.

Well from those 8, I picked Gravediggaz so I'm not doing that one

I'm doing 4:

Visage
Neon Indian
Pond
Small Faces

If I have time I'll try and get one of the other 3

I listened to Small Faces last night, so I'm going to listen to one more time and do a review probably tomorrow

5 is too many IMO. Especially if we are supposed to listen to each a few times.

I say we cut the list down to 3 a week.

Haunted

ETA: I would call it Electropop. Girl can sing, though. It's good.

Yeah, just keep this in the hopper. 5 albums a week is too many.

I thought we were all under the notion that this was "pick 1 album, listen to it, write about it" You don't have to listen to all 5 albums, do you?

Can I get a danman ruling on this?

There will be 5 albums (this week is 8 cause I didn't make this clear enough)

Listen to 1, or listen to all 5. Do a write up on it. Report back > discussion.

I can either do it that, or I make it more rigid, where there are 3 albums or something a week, and everyone listens to just those three albums.

Either way works, I just wanted to keep it loose with a small list and you do what you want, not like a homework assignment where you have 3 albums that must be listened to.

But if we do the 3 album thing, then it would definitely aid discussion, but limit the amount of different stuff that could be posted.

there are 7, make that 8 to pick from right now. fantasydan is doing 4. if he can do 4, you should try for 5. as for me, i'll do 1, and in the future i think 1 or 2 is much more reasonable.
