Yeah Beach Boys are fantastic. But you lose ranking points when another band makes one of your guys go insane.

Don Henley is Awesome. The End Of Innocence album is A thing of Gold.

Joe Walsh only has 22 functioning brain cells left.

There was a time that I lived and breathed The Eagles.

I eventually overdosed and burned out on them. Now I only listen now and then.

All his songs have a certain F.O.S. quality about them.

Some Eagles songs are boring. Just like any band.

The Dude never listened to Heartache Tonight.

Yep, there's a couple of B list tunes on the DVD. Those hot Australian babes still be jamming.

Not a hater, not a fan club member either.

Seven Bridges Road, Tequila Sunrise, Peaceful Easy Feeling all pretty good stuff. Some others like Hotel California and Life in the Fast-lane were just overplayed. Henley comes across as a prick.

That's because he is. The only downside to an Eagles concert is when Henley drags out his left-wing politics in the middle of the show. Just play the music, man !

Luckily, if he did it in Melbourne it was edited out of the DVD.

Love the eagles

Come at me bro

Fwiw, the big lewbowski made people hate the eagles that loved them before. It's quite amazing.

Great band, great songs, great songwriting, great riffs.

I have a deep dislike of the Eagles, except for Joe Walsh, who is awesome. I do get a bit ticked by the Big Lebowski fanboys getting on to my Eagles-hating turf. This isn't an ironic stance or something, the Eagles are pretty much the gold standard of the bloated, festering corpse that mainstream rock became in the late 70s. Their Hell Freezes Over Tour is one of the most shameless money grabs in history, though I'm kind of okay with blindly ripping off Baby Boomers.

These super expensive concerts for bands so far past their primes that they can't even properly perform their material is, frankly, appalling. I don't mind a band making money. Hell, I want bands I like to make money. But they don't care about anything except for how quickly they can extract the most amount of money from the most amount of people. They are the Kiss of easy listening.

And the Desperado album is friggin embarrassing. You're not gun slingers. Stop it.

Phew. That felt good. I really hate the Eagles, but if you like 'em, cool. Different strokes and all. But they are pretty much the polar opposite of everything I like about rock n roll.
