This live version of A Forest is one of the better versions of a brilliant song.

They are under appreciated in the U.S.

Another brilliant version with video.

I dunno, when the songs you listed came out the Cure were relatively a popular band in the US...
Their popularity has waned in the past decade and a half... I'd say rightly so, considering their output..

yep, during that time frame they were the biggest "Alternative" band I had known... dwarfed the popularity of REM, The Smiths, etc...
edit: Then U2 came out with Joshua Tree and eclipsed them in regards to "college/alt/whatever" to mainstream popularity...

Robert Smith is an EMO and Goth God.

I regret missing them at Voodoo this year... That festival just sucks to me and I didnt feel like going...
Most of my old school friends said that once they got warmed up a bit, it was great!

Smith´s pretty prolific. A shitload of band changes, and some important ups and downs, but he came back strong a few times there.
He´d run his course by the early 2000´s though, IMO (Bloodflowers being the last album I´d heard, and that was due to a client and friend being into the album, otherwise I´d have heard nothing).

In Orange is one of my favorite concert videos. I think to the over 35 crowd, they're not under appreciated. Their pinnacle was probably 89-90 though.
A Forest? The entire seventeen seconds album is great. 2nd only to Head on the Door IMO.
