I was, at best, a casual Cure fan, and most of it doesn't hold up for me. So I see this article and was curious to see if the songs I liked appealed to true fans. The most interesting thing to me was, I've never even heard of number 1. All the ones I thought were best are elsewhere in the top 10 though except Let's Go To Bed.

Article - 225 Cure songs ranked

Top 10:

A Forest
Just Like Heaven
In Between Days
Pictures of You
Boys Don't Cry
Charlotte Sometimes
Fascination Street
Disintegration
Close to Me
A Night Like This

Why Can't I be You and Let's Go To Bed were 15/16.

Hells yeah!

Before there were "goth" girls, there were Cure girls. They wore black t-shirts and were fare skinned and some smoked Clove cigarettes. They weren't fat Juggalo girls yet and 80's girls didnt cut themselves yet.

Let's Go To Bed

i remember thinking this was their "mainstream hit" at the time and looking back it doesn't look anything of the sort.

Really? Texas ones seemed to allow Doc MArtens to bleed over from the Seattle scene. As soon as Docs were available here? I have no idea when that was or what came first. Seattle Music exploding or Doc Martens existing.

Well considering Docs were around since 1947 I would say Seattle music had nothing to do with them

I assumed. But NOBODY was looking for Docs in Beaumont Texas in 1989.

Docs didn't go with Z-Cavaricci's

There is at least one Cure song in almost every Spotify playlist I've ever made.

I would put Fascination Street above A Forest in my top ten.

Also, a few missing in their top 10 would be A Walk (the Mixed Up version) and If Only Tonight We Could Sleep and Shake Dog Shake.

Seventeen seconds at 53 is laughable imo

Also sidenote. I really dug the shite out of his sit-in for Korns unplugged. he and Davis's voice really worked out nice together
