I've never hear a Phish song in my life, now I want to go to the concert.

You should, they're all incredibly talented musicians.

Especially Trey. He's in the top 15 guitarists alive IMO.

That page HAS to be a troll. I lived in the Bham area for a number of years in the last 90s/early 00s and the only musical act I ever remember anyone "protesting" was Marilyn Manson when he played at Sloss Furnaces one year. Widespread Panic which has the same basic scene as Phish played at Oak Mountain in Pelham several years in a row and never was protested.

Here's a tip for you and the God fearing crowd, DON'T GO to the show if you don't like the band and or their fans. I don't like Phish, so I don't go to their shows, its really pretty easy to avoid. Let the people that like it go, its called freedom.

First off I am not of the God Fearing Crowd. I almost hate them as much as hippies. I only sided with them because most Zealots at least take showers and wear shoes. I just dont want hippies in Alabama. I dont care where Phish plays as long as the hippies dont show up. What you call freedom really isnt freedom. If that were the case you would allow my stance on the stinkin hippies to be heard.

You know the majority of a Phish crowd is just normal people. Admittedly there are a few wooks but you just sound like a huge pussy who is scared of hippies.

This

A jam band show be it Phish, WSP, ABB or the countless others is made up of everyone from doctors and lawyers to carpenters and plumbers and indeed hippies. Thats one of the beautiful things about the show.

Quit making crap up. I am not scared of hippies. I just dont like the odor they emit. I have been to see Phish live. I did not enjoy the show. I watched them on Austin City Limits and still did not like it. I appreciate the music but just dont like the odor or visuals of hippies.

Kind of sad that the way another human being chooses to live their life can cause you such discomfort and put such a strain on your own happiness.

But be sad, I don't give a frick.

It's not bait, he's just an insanely talented musician. You can stay ignorant if you'd like though.

It was in Auburn around 94-95. They played an outdoor show put on by a frat. Word was one of the frat guys was good friends with one of the members. I saw them also about about years ago in Oak Mtn Amphitheater. 99? I think it was

I can't find the frat show you are referring to but Oak Mountain '99 was a great show (that Sally in the first set is particularly funky). If you let some white dude with dreadlocks ruin your time then it sounds like you've got a personal problem.
