Ron Wood and Keith Richards showed their stuff there, and Mick Jagger fricked it up IMO.

Oh yeah, link to that greatness

Not even the best example from the Stones, baw (although I like Beast of Burden).

Do you even, Can't you hear me knockin'?, bro?

Man, I love the sound of Beast Of Burden.

The impressive part to me,is that they start dog piling each other from the start of the recording,as opposed to 1 guy laying something out,and the other guy trying to outdo him in what is laid out for him.

Yea, they (Keith and Ronny) wove their guitars together beautifully in that song. Their playing throughout that album (Some Girls) is fantastic.

It's pure funkiness to me,as much as us white guys can do it.

Yea, I have the alternate version of that song, and that's the only version that you can distinctly hear an acoustic guitar on that track.

Man, I would love to hear that, if there is a way.

To my understanding though, Richards and Wood played identical Tellies at the same time in that song, and you don't really know for a fact which licks belong to who,and that's the way they wanted it.
I don't really know anything, just a story I heard back in the day.

Yea, I can tell it's Keith hitting the opening notes high on the fret tuned to open G and then Ronnie comes in a bit higher. After that they start interweaving. Ronnie takes the lead later and Keith starts tinkering in the back hitting some random notes during Mick singing about "all your sickness I can suck it up. Throw it all at me, I can shrug it off". ...but yea they're both playing Tellies.

You know Richards was always a 3 or4 string player, and I suspected that he was getting some of his own stuff thrown back in his face there, and enjoying it.

I will admit it is a great weaving song and Ronnie is more of a brother to Keith than Brian or Taylor ever were. Taylor is the best lead guitarist the Stones ever had and he contributed musically to many Stones songs from '69 to '74.... and never got credited for it except one track on Exile.

The best example is probably the Television album "Marquee Moon"

Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd...

Marquee Moon (probably the most iconic)

See No Evil (personal favorite)

Agree

Ronnie was a better fit but Mick was a virtuoso.

Half that stuff he played was on a telecaster with no low E string - somebody make an argument that Keith wasn't a frustrated banjo player trapped in a guitar player's body.

I still sing " Pizza Burnin " in my head everytime I hear this one. It's a slippery little riff but not "greatest collaboration ever" by far.
