I went to the show in Boulder last night...pretty good...awesome Morning Dew!

I didn't get back till almost 2am as we are staying in Vail--taxing drive back late last night. I am contemplating Blues Traveller tonight.

ETA...and finally--the sun has come out after 3 days of rain!

Haha. I'm jealous. I listened to both dead and co shows after I put the family to sleep. Good stuff. Hope red rocks is awesome for you as it was for me.

Leave after UM? is Umphrey's really that bad?

or is this comment just one of the regulars on this board being a flaming douche bag?

Glad you went!

I ended up passing on it as we were in Boulder late the night before and had to leave Vail at 7:30 this morning and were exhausted. Flight was 3.5 hours late--spent all day in Denver airport...just got back to N.O. at 8:00 tonight.

Back in Denver in 8 weeks for Phish Dick's though!

Bumping this thread. The wife and I are thinking of flying to Denver next weekend to catch The National and Real Estate on the 31st.

We've never been so it's good to hear about "the best venue in America" and make the decision easy to go.

Would anyone recommend staying in Morrison? Or just taxi in from Denver?

The only places you'll find in Morrison are a couple of B&Bs like Cliff House. (Morrison is tiny...they have like one red light.) But that wouldn't be a bad way to go. You could hike to the venue from there but it's a pretty good hoof, all uphill.

we stayed at the cliff house, and i'm so glad we did. it was awesome. 1/2 block from the bars/shops/restaurants but secluded and quiet. they cottage we stayed in was very nice, and had two porches/verandas and a big private hot tub (plus a parking spot).

it was so nice we stayed an extra night

5 minutes from red rocks...it wasn't cheap but it was so well worth it. morrison is pretty cool (it has a great bar) and there's shite to do around it (dinosaur ridge, evergreen, plenty of hiking trails, etc)
