I already rated this one and then got beat to the reply, so I'll go ahead and list it out.

8/10 -- very good song. I'm liking that I've heard two songs in a row that I've liked and both by artists I had never previously heard or even heard of.

Interesting song. Not really my style, but a good tune. I also had never heard of this band. So three in a row.

7/10. Nice classic rock. Really like that guitar riff.

Lord Huron - Setting Sun

Don't worry, the song is only 5 minutes. The 53:57 mark to the end (55:12) is pure Heaven.

Cut Copy - Walking in the Sky
Arguably the most boring song I have ever sat through.
Boring melody made me not give a damn about the lyrics.

And I am a sucker for a solid melody.

Also, the dude sings in a single tone the whole fricking time.

I could use this as white noise to sleep to, or to kill everyone's buzz.

Sorry, bro. I want to like every song I listen to.

My song is more mainstream:

Robbie Robertson - Fallen Angel

I had all but forgotten about this guy and had actually never heard this song before. I was thinking "This sounds a lot like a Peter Gabriel song - Then it suddenly makes sense that it sounds exactly like a Peter Gabriel song. Big "San Jacinto" influence on the video itself. It's about a minute and a half too long. I go with a 6.5/10 if it's intended as an homage. 5/10 if it's a recreation of PG's style.

Something different...

Zella Day - East of Eden (it's a short song so don't give up before the bridge)

PG did sing on that song is why it sounded like him does that change the rating?

I know he did. I was thinking it before his part even came in. I should actually see if Robertson even wrote it...

Zella Day - 7.5 out of 10. She sounded attractive, and the song wasn't too poppy, so I liked it.

6.5/10

Seems like something from the Liz Phair cutting room floor. But she plays guitar left-handed, so she gets some credit for that.
