Playlist for a Mardi Gras parade

My oldest son is riding in the bed of my truck for a parade this year.
Meaning i'm responsible for my own sound and music.
My personal collection is not filled with the typical radio friendly party scene type of music (i got some but it's more full albums and deeper cuts).
so i'm looking for suggestions to throw together a playlist several hours long.
and if it contains too much hip hop i'm liable to commit suicide in front of my own child before the parade ends.

I always liked this song on Mardi Gras....it used to be a time when we were running from the Northshore to the city nightly and it seems fitting.

educate me on Spotify:
do i need wifi or data to use this playlist?
if so, that's probably a no go.
will need to listen on an iPod rather than my phone.
my phone rings constantly because of work, so need the music to be on something that will just keep on playing if i'm on the phone.

I made that playlist pulling a LOT of suggestions from previous Music Board threads about Mardi Gras music. Not every song is directly or clearly a Mardi Gras song, but the vast majority have either ties to Mardi Gras, Louisiana or partying.

Thanks! I can't claim full credit for it thought — a lot of friends and posters here have suggested songs to add. Y'all let me know if there's anything else I should add (I'm liberally adding songs and letting listeners rely on shuffle + skip for stuff they don't like).
