I love Malkmus' cover of The Verlaines Death and the Maiden

You can hear the big influence on Pavement's sound...

i was at this show. craziness. pain teens and sonic youth were awesome, i remember leaving going that was disappointing for sonic youth.

i actually went with a dude named jeremy, by change does JW stand for jeremy?

Hawkeye ... did we know each-other?? i don't recall much about the evening other than it seems we drove down and back in the same night. Which sounds ridiculous .... i was working at KLSU at the time

well i can't imagine multiple jeremies driving back and forth to see sonic youth that attended LSU. I also worked at KLSU. I lived a few doors down from Ashley and Katie(?). Katie at some point was head of KLSU.

I didn't know you particularly well. We hung out randomly, usually if it involved Ashley and eventually her boyfriend who I can't remember his name at this point but you two were tight.

I had shoulder length, purple hair around then. Super skinny, freakishly loud voice.
