For Squirrels - Mighty KC

although their lack of additional hits is due to 1/2 of the band being killed in an auto accident prior to the release of this record...

It was a hit on college radio...

and if we're nitpicking, neither did Camouflage's Great Commandment or that Alphaville song...

Camouflage song was #1 on Billboard US dance chart for 3 weeks.

Alphaville song was used in so many soundtracks that pretty much everybody has at least heard it.

and Mighty KC was #15 on the Billboard Modern Rock Track Chart...

Since you pointed it out, i was assuming you were talking the top 40

And I'm not disagreeing that those songs were well known, but I wanted to point out, as you did, neither made the Billboard Top 40

Somehow I must've missed that one. Weird because I was a college radio DJ in college after spending some time with the Zephyr.

Bloodrock - D.O.A. Only Bloodrock song to break the Top 40 peaking at #36 in 1971. I remember that they played the shite out of it on the radio every day.

New Radicals came pretty close to a second hit, and would have probably had it but "they" were already "broken up" when it was released.
