I would venture to say that half of Neville's students missed school the next day.

Not at all. Last dance was the first song I learned on guitar. Last time i saw panic play it was the last show they played at the Backyard before it closed a few years back.

LOVE Last Dance....

as you know, 99.9% of the time on New Years they open up with an acoustic set.

So them coming out fully electric was a nice surprise. Perfect Vacation placement too

12/31/12 Time Warner Cable Arena, Charlotte, NC
1: Last Dance > Vacation > Last Dance, Ribs And Whiskey, Party At Your Mama's House > Stop Breakin' Down Blues, All Time Low > Rock
2: Disco > Greta > Love Tractor, Sell Sell, Machine > Barstools and Dreamers, Up All Night, Midnight Special
3: Pigeons, Time Is On My Side, Fishwater, Blue Indian > Ride Me High, Goin' Out West > Jack > Maggot Brain > Chilly Water, Ain't Life Grand
E: Driving Song > The Ballad of John and Yoko > Happy Xmas (War Is Over) > Driving Song > Tall Boy

That is a hell of a kickoff. I could hear both those songs damn near every time I see a show and it wouldn't bother me a bit.

Jeez that first set from Charlotte is sick.

Was there. Buddy and I were so pissed at that Red Beans encore. What an awful song.

The Hatfield>Rock>Vacation>CPW was tight.

Red Beans is alright, maybe not a stand alone for an encore though. Monroe police would lose their damn minds if Panic showed up again.

As I recall, it was pretty tame that night. Seems it was on a Sunday night, maybe? And I think this was one where they set the stage up so that only half the arena was used. If it's the show I'm thinking of, it was a pretty small crowd.

Yes indeed that's what I'm talking about, that's the Monroe I know... Enoch's is a good watering hole with a decent crowd. Ouachita River gets very pretty heading south out of Monroe towards columbia, and north towards Arkansas. Do some exploring on yaks or a pontoon boat, put on some good music, light up and make the most of it!
