It may not be underrated or obscure, but Babe I'm Gonna Leave You is great blues song. Maybe my favorite Blues song this side of the Allman Bros.

Not sure if it appeals to many others but for me "Friends " is a personal favorite

I'd have to go with something that I would be more sure that they wrote by themselves and didn't pinch off anyone else.

Maybe something like Communication Breakdown or Rock and Roll. They wrote those two, right?

Underrated. The keyboard part grew on me after a few listens.

There are a lot of these for Zeppelin. I heard Traveling Riverside Blues on drive home from work and that’s my vote for today.

I’ve put together a playlist of Zeps influences, rip-offs, and covers. They truly put their own spin on blues. My only issue with them is lack of credit given to the originals-(unlike the respect given out by the Stones, Clapton and SRV)

Thank You

Had Chris Cornell not redone it it would be a meh song that I did not fully appreciate.

Now it is much more popular but it is because Cornell.

This thread has been awesome, and has covered all the best ones I think. Here's my conclusion.

1. Tea For One (I agree with OP. Great lyrics.)
2. The Rover (Great guitar solo.)
3. Travelling Riverside Blues (One of a kind.)
4. I'm Gonna Crawl (Pretty epic song.)
5. Hey, Hey, What Can I do? (One of my favorite songs ever)

Not sure about the definition of "deep cut," as others have stated, but great thread.

Travelling Riverside Blues (One of a kind.)

Never even entered my mind as underrated.

Hey, Hey, What Can I do?

I’ll fight someone over this song being called subpar or overrated. Lol

Misty Mountain Hop is my fav Zepplin song and I never hear anyone else say that so that’s my nomination.

LSU alum,

I still remember hearing a "new" Zeppelin song right around '82, after I figured it was all done (before CODA, I think), and just knew it by "lookin' for my street corner girl." I'm pretty sure it was on WRNO, and I subsequently bought the Chinese import 45 from Record Bar at the mall.

Yeah, one of the best songs ever I think.

Lake Forest Plaza? I worked there at that time.

Perhaps my favorite job I've had.

I know a girl stay drunk all the time”.

With that fast strum toward the end and a few vocals of Prime Plant where the throat was just right and he could step on the gas going full voice. Like When the Levee Breaks. Just awesome.

ddbnsb,

Nah, Record Bar at Southland Mall in Houma.

Bayou country.

Should have traveled to NO more than we did.
