Of Heart and Skins is criminally underrated. Starfish is definitely their best, but definitely give that a listen some time.

"Memories in Future Tense" and "Is This Where You Live?" are my two favs on that list. "Sisters" is also very cool. I was lucky enough to pick it up on vinyl 12 years ago for $1.99!

Crowded Hose was a good one. I'm a big fan of theirs.

The Smithereeens. Terrific power pop, and kind of the last of their era.

Fishbone. Just too far ahead of their time.

Flipper. The best punk band no one really remembers. A lot of their stuff is shamefully out of print.

Good call on hoodoo gurus. The Call was another good one.

How about Robyn Hitchcok and the egyptians?
Madonna of the wasps

or Spaceman 3?
Walking with Jesus

eta: listening to spaceman 3 makes me want to take a lot of LSD.

Is this the thread where Baloo, CDawg, and AlxTgr try to out-obscure each other?

Yeah, Crowded House and the Smithereens are really obscure. Each had multiple hit singles. Fishbone is pretty darn well known, even if they lacked chart success.

Flipper is admittedly a bit obscure, but not that obscure. Sex Bomb was a minor hit, and their logo still pops up in fashion and on famous people who have clearly never bought any of their records.
