I'm surprised you hadn't heard of Fishbone. Flipper, I get. They were rarely played on the radio, and like I said, a lot of their albums are out of print. They have a famed legacy (Cobain was a huge fan), but they are one of those bands people namecheck but don't actually listen to.

Which is a shame. They are a blast.

I have the Flipper album Generic on my computer

It's pretty good. Not something I just sort of put on for relaxing background music but it's pretty solid if I'm in the mood for it.

Is this the thread where Baloo, CDawg, and AlxTgr try to out-obscure each other?

I just hope you're paying attention.

The Chameleons debut album "Script of the Bridge" in 1983 is an absolute masterpiece.

A few. The one where the kid wants his $2. High Fidelity. Some deal with his sister in it. A few more.

Really liked these guys. Saw them in Washington, D.C., at a college radio conference.

I have Waxworks: Some Singles 1977–1982. I played the crap out of it back then. Senses Working Overtime is the only song that holds up for me. IMHO, YMMV.

Someone on here thought they were a one hit wonder. I have only heard three of their song. Love two of them.
