Correct. The fest lasted from 3-6. Doors opened at 2 but like someone said, the security line to get in was stupid. They were having people take off their shoes like it was a damn TSA line. Eventually someone wised up and they stopped doing that and began only checking bags.

Well, that was the largest group of hipsters I have seen together. Hipsters are too cool to sing and dance? The second Avett Bros concert in Baton Rouge where the crowd was just terrible.

Where were you sitting, I was in the middle of a lot of families and normal 20-30 year olds. It was great crowd in the front 2 sections.

Avett Brothers put on a great show and continually not disappoint.

I thought the set up was great but there are some kinks they need to work out if they want to do this again next year. Bring in beer trucks, need 10 more port a potties, and 2-3 more food vendors.

With all due respect, I cannot disagree with you more.
Avett concerts are HIGH energy with singing, dancing, jumping, interaction, etc. The crowd was tame. Surprisingly, the families and older adults were into the concert more than the youth.

I felt the setup was terrible. Getting into the center was a catastrophe; near an hour of waiting.
Near the stage, three food vendors and 1 bar.
Reserved seating promised VIP bars and bathrooms; no bathrooms.
The General Admission bar was so crowded that the general admission would jump the rope to go to the Reserved bars and then they had ridiculous lines.
Bars ran out of beer, wine, liquor all night and had to wait to be restocked. I was served a beer that was FOUR years past expiration date on bottle.
Lights on stage were shining in audience's eyes for first two bands and were blinding during Wade Bowen, until he had to say something. That is embarrassing.
The center's crew was constantly driving up and down the roads in cars and 4wheelers pushing people out the way so they could restock. One person got in their car parked by the stage and turned on their headlights during the Avett performance.
I had a good time, you had a good time, but that was an absolute unprofessional shite show.

I was in GA and as soon as the show started someone with the festival went around and told us we could go watch the show in the reserved section. Not that it was all that hard to sneak in but I thought it was pretty funny that they were promoting it. There was literally zero reason to buy the reserved tickets.

Sounds like a lot of headaches to hear mediocre at best music with a shitty BR crowd.

Sounds like a pretty terribly managed "fest"

Appreciate that. Love going back and looking at them. I could never be that guy that records the entire concert on my phone but I'm appreciative to whoever does.

I think you should consider therapy. Why all the pent up anger?

The grounds were amazing and they had the band set up on what was essentially the large front porch of an old plantation home. One of the cooler venues where I've caught a show.

They were pretty sweet. It was a shame that they didn't utilize it better, as in setting up the first band in the amphitheater, bars by the water, etc. I don't think anyone went to reflect by the wading pool. Fun time was had. Hope they learn from mistakes.

I have and I can confirm that they are indeed better than Mumford and Sons.

What was the crowd size? Louisiana is seriously lacking an amphitheater. I think Mandeville or Covington would be perfect. Lots of room and still in the NOLA metro.
