Jerry World just put the Live Nation trailer for the tour on it's Facebook page. It just states "Monday" which is when the tour will be announced. I was so hoping they wouldn't play that horrible palace of sorrow but I will have to go.

A7X put on a really damn good live hard rock show. Idk why people are so against them. It's surprising. Volbeat bleh.
The key word here is STADIUMS, which sucks for us. NOLA can pack an arena, but throw that bitch in the Dome and we fall 30-40k short.
Even doubly sucky when Metallica has traditionally been one of the big rock bands to show NOLA love and stop by and almost every arena tour.
Hell, last show Hetfield just talked to the audience about NOLA related stuff for 15-20 minutes after the rest of the band left.

The tour will allegedly kick off 5-21-17 in Columbus, OH at Rock On The Range and end in early July.
About what I figured. New Orleans will have to wait until next year. I really hope they don't play Voodoo.

very disappointing that the tour is not stopping in NOLA, dont know if i will make the houston show

I'd say that is due to only being in outdoor venues, but the Alamodome date blows that theory out of the water. I'm sure they will hit Smoothie King when/if an arena leg is done next year
