This band kicks arse. Collection of 60/70s soul studio musicians. Absolute killer rhythm section. Stumbled on them the other day on Spotify, been on repeat since. Only name i recognized was Cornell Dupree from him playing with King Curtis

if you are in to jazz/funk/soul, check them out.

Good stuff.

My late to the party band is only a few years back. Or maybe I'm not late because they aren't that big but this band from Ft Worth has some good tunes.

Quaker City Nighthawks
Medicine Man

Colorado

Beat the Machine

Queso Blanco

Youtube had the full set of them at Montreaux Jazz festival 1976 up for a few years but pulled it about 2 years ago. I was probably 500 of the 250,000 or so views it had. One of the grooviest bands I was ever shown, Richard Tee to me looked like the Andre 3000 of his time(RIP). Daily motion has a copy of it here:

Video quality is much lower than the original, not sure about audio as I'm on a work computer with no speakers. Funniest part to me was they were the soul brother band but still had a white boy on the skins.

You didn’t recognize Steve Gadd?

LEGEND!

That’s him on S Dan’s Aja and P Simon’s 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover. Pretty sure he’s been J Taylor’s touring drummer for years now.
