Just relistened to some of the American Recordings. American VI Ain't No Grave is so good.

I was listening to Georgia on my mind saw this thread and was thinking. Yes.

Nelson did stardust in 1978 and spent 10 years on the billboard charts. That’s people listening to 30 year old songs redone by a country singer. The record label wasn’t even jazzed about the idea . But Nelson did it anyway.

If you have the talent, people will listen.

He was able to sing the songs that he wanted to sing but was unable to do so with Columbia.
