Well actually a bass neck. Where do you guys buy from?

Fender?
I would check with the manufacturer first, then go to Warmoth for aftermarket options.
Do you have a local luthier you can trust?

No, I do all of my own work.

I would get a Fender neck, or failing that a Warmoth.

If you're looking for a standard P- or J- bass replacement, Allparts sells a very good neck for the money.
If you're seeking some custom options, I'll second Warmoth and I'll throw Musikraft into the mix.
Edited to add: I checked in with a good luthier friend in the Midwest who is the best detective I know when it comes to replacement bodies and necks and who ghost-built them. He confirmed what I suspected on the Allparts necks. MIJ and very, very, very likely by FugiGen. Among brands that factory made/makes are Fender's MIJ guitars for the American (past) and Japanese (present) markets.
