Legend has it Eddie Vedder is still lurking in the weeds from the Hunger Strike video

Pretty sure Jeff Ament was a band mate also

Call Me a Dog is probably the best song on that album

But I can't feed on the powerless when my cup's already overfilled, yeah
But it's on the table, the fire's cookin'

In my opinion, his voice was at its best for temple of the dog.
RIP Chris

It is one of the songs that when I am channel surfing I have to stop and listen to it.

CC was one mt favorite singer ever. That was during his peak years and they were astounding.

Then you hated 90s rock and Grunge. that was a great tune.
I will say even if you loved Grunge and liked Cornell's voice Hunger Strike was constantly on the radio like Nickelback's Photograph later. Back in the day when people actually listened to terrestrial radio, it was easy to get tired of a song.

Everytime one of my kids says that they’re hunger, I start belting away. RIP Chris Cornell

I got tired of it. Too much repetition in the song and how often it was played.
After Nirvana and STP, I was over it and moved more towards The Black Crowes.

Another great super group was Mad Season. Layne Staley is phenomenal throughout the Above album.
X-ray mind
I don't know anything
Mad Season was an American rock supergroup[3] formed in 1994 as a side project of members of other bands in the Seattle grunge scene.[4] The band's principal members included guitarist Mike McCready of Pearl Jam, lead singer Layne Staley of Alice in Chains, drummer Barrett Martin of Screaming Trees, and bassist John Baker Saunders. Mad Season released only one album, Above, in March 1995. Its first single, "River of Deceit", was a radio success, and Above was certified a gold record by the RIAA in June.
There is a very good documentary about Layne Staley and his downward spiral, about 70 minutes long, on youtube channel RockRealmm.

- Cornell was friends with him and Gossard was a band mate.
Cornell and Wood were roomates at one point.

That’s really what you took from the lyric? Maybe you should reevaluate where your mind is.

Reach Down is the best song on the album.
Chris basically wrote the album on his own in a short period of time right after his best friend and roommate Andrew Wood died. He wrote it just for the need to get his grief out, and never expected it would become what it did.

If y'all are fans of the music that came out of Seattle at that time, you should read the book Everybody Loves Our Band. It's an oral history covering about a decade of time from the late 80s to the late 90s. It goes into intimate detail about things like the Temple Of The Dog album. It's very well done and informative.
