Always hated that song.

It's a good tune. Temple of the Dog was a cool little group they put together.

Bread is specifically known as the antithesis of decadence. It's the most basic, non-decadent thing. Since biblical times. So this is supposed to be the most excusable crime ever, but would the mouths of decadence even have bread? Wouldn't they eat cake? Idk, it's a nice idea. But I think it's like saying you're gonna steal food stamps from Bill Gates

Cornell absolutely wails on that song.

I never realized Temple of the Dog preceded Pearl Jam. I always thought it was a supergroup project after Pearl Jam and Soundgarden’s success.

Andy Woods death did more for "Grunge" than Kurt Cobain songs.

There’s a story behind the recording. Vedder had just shown up in Seattle to sing for what was to become Pearl Jam. He didn’t really know anyone. The song is about the singer of Mother Love Bone overdosing - Cornell was friends with him and Gossard was a band mate. Obviously, Cornell and Vedder would go on to be huge rock stars.
