Gerry Raffertys Baker Street song. Other than the intro to Dave Ramsey and maybe one of the old soap operas I think it was theme song, you don't hear much about it. To me a great saxophone melody and I like the guitar solo towards the end, even his voice to me was really good. I know it's an old song and literally a random song to ask about Just curious on how y'all would rate it today as maybe a classic or not.

Upper-tier 2 dad rock. Just short of tier 1 IMHO.

I prefer the original over the Foo Fighters' cover....but they are both excellent.

Holds up well, IMO.

Ravenscroft just died last month. Another famous sax part he recorded was from The Gunner's Dream, from The Final Cut.

LINK "Right down the line" was cucumber cool too.

And "Stuck in the middle with you" was a classic of course. That goes without saying. Rafferty had the pop-mellow, whimsical factor going.

Top 10 favorite song all time. Don't know what "Dad Rock" is but I'm sure I'm old enough to qualify as a member.

Right Down the Line is awesome also.
