Fwiw, I am not a huge Crows fan. I am a fan of good songwriting.
SP was a better band, sure. Duritz was an exponentially better writer. I can't stand either of their voices.
Corgan makes me want to be deaf when he sings. Duritz just can't sing.

I still side with Corgan, but "Anna Begins" is one of my favorite songs. I actually prefer most of CC's lesser known stuff to their popular songs.

i haven't read through this whole thread, but this seems to me to be another case of back lash. People get sick of hearing how great Cobain was, so they say he was over rated.
I like the Foo Fighters, but Cobain is the better song writer.
