I just got back from the Greg Allman concert at Bay Harbor Festival in Bay St. Louis. He was scheduled to start at 7:30 but did not come on until about 10:20. He was very wasted and it was really sad. Anyone else go?

Sounds about right.

Say what you want about Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks but those two carried the ABB the past decade while Gregg continued this bullshite. Dude needs to just hang it up.

I saw an interview with him about a year ago. His mind is gone.

he was drunk, but it was a great show. Most of their equipment was ruined during the storm. The thing that pissed me off was the producer of the fest kept coming on stage and he KNEW Allman wasn't coming on until after 10 but wouldn't tell us. Really PISSED me off.

None of the problems this show had was any of his doing. He was drunk, but he played great, I was right up front 1st row, right in front of his Hammond.

I was there. You could tell he was hammered when talking to the crowd but all of the songs sounded great IMO. We Def didnt like having to wait so long though I was expecting to be back in nola by the time he started playing.

OK, I was wrong. Just talked to someone that produced this show, he was drunk off his arse and his people wouldn't let him on stage until he sobered up. They couldn't tell the fest people when or IF he would be able to go on. He finally sobered up enough to play, but they didn't want any lights on him because of his condition.

I saw him at the Ryman a few months ago and he sounded fantastic. Didn't seemed messed up at all. Sounds like this show just kinda got fricked up by weather.

Gregger prolly doesn't know how to sing Whipping Post without a bottle of brown in him.

This. I walked up to the left side of the stage and was about 15 feet from him while he was taking "a break" during the instrumental part of the second or third song. This was probably about 20 feet behind the Hammond. He was in bad shape. Promoters blamed the weather for no lighting for him, but that is B.S. I think this may be the first time since his liver transplant that he has done anything like this before a show. I saw him play in Macon about a year and a half ago and he was great.
