Surprised no one put up Pete Townshend's tone from the Gibson SG-era or when he played Joe Walsh's Gretsch 6120 on Who's Next and Quadrophenia. It's a great sound, I wouldn't put it above Keith's tone with his open-chord tunings but unique.

Nothing beats the sound of Dave Rawling's 1935 Epiphone at the beginning of Annabelle.

Gillian Welch - Annabelle Live

ETA...except for maybe his opening on Time The Revelator

Forgot about Jack White withThe White Stripes. Loved his sound on Ball and Biscuit. Very loud, and aggressive. Just loved to jam.

I did like his tone on Ziggy Stardust, very clear and bright.

The live Ronson, with that thing growling like nobody´s business, was heaven to my ears.

Pretty much this, except without the years specified to show off. Well maybe with the exception

Not sure how that is showing off. Garcia and Anastasio both greatly changed their tones. Anastasio in 1999 vs 2003 is night and day. 99 is as buttery as it gets while 03 had a harsh, grungey tone.
