I'm a huge fan of The Smiths. Is anyone else? What are your favorite albums/ recordings?

I think all their albums were outstanding. I guess my favorite songs would look something like this:

Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now
Last Night I Dreamt
William It Was Really Nothing

Meat is Murder is my favorite, and I like all the usual suspects of course: Bigmouth, This Charming Man, etc.

Love them first for guitar style, musical melody, and finally for witty lyrics.

The Queen is Dead is my favorite album.

There is a Light That Never Goes Out
The Queen is Dead
Well I Wonder
I Know It's Over
This Charming Man
Sweet and Tender Hooligan
Asleep
That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore
Back to The Old House (HoH version)

Many others.

Yeah, I remember how awestruck I was by That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore. I had been a huge Zeppelin fan in middle school, loved the guitar, but hadn't been acquainted with a lighter guitar style. I bought the EP, with live versions of some songs from Meat Is Murder. That Joke is such a wonderful song.

Love the Smiths. "There is a Light that Never Goes Out" is one of my favorite songs.

I am not a cynic. Actually, I am quite the opposite, but there is a lot of beauty that is portrayed in Morrisey's dry cynical matter-of-fact lyrics. Big fan.

Love them.

Got to pick your spots to listen though. You don't exactly sound like John Wayne while listening to them.

Been a huge fan since the early 80's. Youtube has some interviews I've never seen. Been watching those for the last year. Loosely keep track of Morrissey and his current adventures/shenanigans.

And finally living.
