I've had a copy of what's supposed to be a copy of some of the 'first' rehearsals
from Pearl Jam for a long time.

So now, I'm sharing these recordings in my dropbox
LINK

the sound is pretty rough but hey it's from 1990

you can choose either the .flac or the .mp3 file to d-load and listen to

these are amazing, man. i always love your posts bc i know you're a huge pj fan as well.

these are real gems. thanks so much for sharing.

the sound actually isn't bad at all, imo...compared to the new years eve show that 10c sent out a few years ago.

Bigger question. How do you like using Dropbox? pretty easy and convenient?

I think they sound pretty good. Eddie really sounds young.

yep, the mellowed out flow is what's interesting. i'm so used to hearing things sped up on all the live bootlegs from 2000 to now that these almost sound like completely different songs...

Yeah the rhythm guitar is mixed much louder than on the record. It sounds like a demo. No vocal odubs/doubling/etc.

There is an old recording on Youtube of Pearl Jam playing at a Tower Records in 1991. Awesome.

Love me some old Pearl Jam.

Used to pay $40 plus for "import" CD's back in 1994. That was a shite load of cash for a CD in 1994.

that's why you traded tapes and CDs with other fans back in the day...

I have a Smashing Pumpkin's CD around here somewhere that I got at the same time as another bootleg Pearl Jam CD (from the Mushroom in N.O.) both with some pretty rare recordings on them.

Maybe I'll dig'em out and share them one day....
