I've been working on Open E and G for slide work, but I honestly have as much fun straight pickin it in those tunings as I do trying to coax out dem wails. It makes playing 'Can't You Hear Me Knocking' a lot goddamn easier than trying to do it in standard.

I mostly play in Open G. I do flip to Open D sometimes. I probably play in standard E tuning the least of the three that I use.
ETA - I forgot to mention that Drop DG is a pretty fun, easy tuning to play in, especially steel stringed acoustic.

I call it "Rain Song" tuning.

I use quite a few weird tunings. One song I play is in E-A-D-G-C-F (4ths) and another one is in C#-A-C#-G#-A-E. I'm thinking about getting some type of robotic tuner to make it easier to go from one tuning to another.
