Listen to the solo/jam on Alligator on Anthem of the Sun. It's sounds more like ABB than the Dead, and Jerry quotes First There Is A Mountain in it.

I'm imagining Duane listening to it in 1967 and saying/thinking, Man I want to have a band that plays like this.

And we all know what Duane did with the Donovan Mountain song.

Considering they were friends, I'd imagine so.

Chekout the Fillmore 70 Darkstar>Spanish Jam with Duane and the Sugar Magnolia with him and Jerry dueling the next year.

Definitely. In Gregg's most recent book, he talks about going to a Dead show with Duane. Gregg didn't really care for their sound and asked Duane why the crowd was so into it. Duane basically said "look at that jug of liquid getting passed around the audience...it's electric."

Garcia called Gregg a narc, so Gregger didn't care for him much.

Dude, it's one of the funnier passages in his book. You could tell Gregg was BUTTHURT about it.

Garcia copped there is a mountain first as you heard, in alligator
the dead and the allmans ran into each other frequently enough that duane grabbed it and ran with it with Garcias enthusiastic support

matter o fact the last and most well known show together was 46 years ago this week at the Fillmore east. gregg has made several disparaging remarks about the dead over the years but Duane was a fellow traveler

The Allman Brothers were the first big band to have two drummers. they definatly played off each other.

The new years show at winter land (74?) when gregg and dickey come out with the dead is money.

Surely. In the early days when they were the Allman Joys, they actually covered Morning Dew. It's a good track.

While Clapton is the correct answer, a decent case can be made for Duane. The retard was accidentally accurate.

Please state your case! I know retard was trolling. You seem sincere, so I'm curious why...

Burt ain't had pussy since pussy had him. He's definitely a virgin that lives at home with his parents. Definitely drives a canary yellow 99 Ford Mustang with red racing stripes, listens to Shinedown on volume 11, thinks wearing a t-shirt tucked into stone washed jeans sans belt with white Nike tennis shoes is "in"...and wouldn't know a good time if it fell in his lap.

That's Burt, folks.
