Mr. Coach Klein,

I'm really digging "The Rock" right now off their newest album. I think Rolling Stone gave them a favorable write-up on Negativity and 3.5 stars. It's the first track on the new album. Not bad for a band out of Providence, Rhode Island.

The Rock
Twenty Miles
Ashamed
These Old Shoes
Dirty Dishes
The Dreams In The Ditch
Chevy Express
Goodbye Dear Friend
Christ Jesus

I could go on man. Super talented band...guys are only going to get bigger.

Possessed by Paul James is great, too. Just a really solid lineup. Nice work!

tamubro, I'll most likely be with the DRB on derby day so I will try to track you down and introduce myself

Possessed by Paul James was our final addition, and he is going to kick of the fest for us. Figured if anyone was going to get the crowd moving early it would be him. Not only an amazing musician, but an awesome guy too.

You better track me down! It'd be awesome to meet! The DRB's will know where to find me

Also, re: radio spots...have you thought about reaching out to Rita Ballou? She started off blogging about the scene and now has a show on KOKE with Eric Raines. She loves RWH and the DRB and would most likely be happy to plug the show on her show and/or blog and/or Twitter. Just a thought...

Good tip to get next to KOKE. Bob Cole is good people. Not sure how much his buddy Sammy Allred does with KDRP these days, but you may want to throw them a bone as well.

If you are new to this radio thing remember that we don't like each other. At all. I share this as I had many event folks say "oh, we've put (all of you radio stations) together in one place so you can cooperate, won't that be nice".

Don't do that.

Thanks for the advice DoctorTechnical. I am definitely new to the radio aspect of promoting an event. I will surely reach out to Rita at KOKE.

Do you think it would be wise for me to specifically look for Sammy Allred at KDRP or go through a program director or someone like that.

It would be unbelievable if we could have some ticket give-a-ways on KOKE and KDRP leading up to the event. Do you really think this is possible without having to pay exorbitant amounts of dough? Can radio personalities do it out of the goodness of their heart if they like your event? I know that sounds cheesy, we just don't have the funds left to shell out the type of money I thought it took to do something like that.
