I guess I need to catch Cooley solo to get this stuff...

i was surprised - i know they wing it on the set list, but they have played cartoon gold pretty regularly since that album came out.

i was up front and noticed the sound guy tuning the acoustic guitar, and kind of getting waived off by the band when he offered it up. cooley seems to have free reign and i think the band just follows on whatever riff he starts when its "his turn." I think it was in the written in pencil set list but he changed his mind during the set.

I've always liked the DBTs, but over the years have grown bored with them...

Favorite shows were pre-Isbell, but that was mainly due to the size of the venue (old Chelsea's), combined with volume level... maximum rock n' roll...

I've always had a good time at a DBT show. They just aren't near as good as one would expect them to be. Or maybe I had unreasonably high expectations but whatever the case was they didn't live up to them.

That was the best Trucker's show I have ever seen, we were raging so hard the whole time. I don't know if they can top it. All the classics were played.

I hope they don't lose any more members, they are limited to only Cooley's and Patterson's songs.
