Funny because I expected the Tool army to come here and bash this line of thinking. I'm glad to see there's honesty here

10,000 Days has some gems, but its not one I will sit and listen to the album all the way through like I will several of the others.

I agree with you. I prefer DW to TSMR - I just went by the one that usually ranks as the worst. I wish they would do one more of original stuff because I thought A Bigger Bang was quite good.

The Cult - "Ceremony"...awful. Nothing (maybe the song WHITE) exists on this album except overcooked and trite narratives that were already covered by the band on their first two albums.

I don't think my favorite band has a dud in the catalog:

Now I don't dislike this record, but I did find it a disappointment compared to all of their previous work.

Not favorite, but Ursa Major album by 3EB was just awful.

A Bigger Bang was in fact, very good. As is their last blues related disc-"Blue and Lonesome".

I'm a pretty big Stones fan. I own everything they released in the U.S. as well quite a few bootleg/outtakes. The album I never cared for was "Black and Blue". I understand a lot of pundits and critics like it a lot, but I aside from Hand of Fate, Motel Memory and Crazy Mama, I didn't like it.

It has 2, maybe 3 good songs, surrounded by utterly pretentious crap.

It's like he forgot that A Momentary Lapse of Reason exists and that Animals is a fantastic album. If not for other reasonable inclusions, I would have assumed it was an obvious troll.

Oh Lord, I wore this album out when I was a kid. Burford's Barbershop.

U2 - Songs of Innocence

This was the free album on iTunes. I've tried several times to listen to some of the songs, but they are just unlistenable. I loved the older albums. This was extremely disappointing.

I don't know how a Clash fan could not Sandinista! I can see how someone who doesn't care for the Clash one way or another wouldn't like it, but to me, it's the "Clashiest" album in their catalog. It just doubles down on everything that made them the Only Band That Matters.

I'd probably say my favorite band is the Drive by Truckers, so their most black sheep album is likely A Blessing and A Curse. It's the one that's trying the hardest for crossover success which of course, would never come. Considering Isbell was getting a divorce and leaving the band at the time, and the band itself was about to fall apart, its failures as a pop record make it almost like a DBT song.

And any record with Space City on it can't be all bad.
