There have been some pretty bad ones lately. What's your all-time worst?

Train - Drink Up omg

Avett Brothers - Ain't No man

REM's Shiny Happy People has to be up there, but they were on there way to terribleness already.

Literally from Haight-Ashbury/Summer of Love/Woodstock anti-establishment hippie anthemists to halfway decent AOR(or progressive rock) outfit by the late 70s, to complete pop/lite rock sellouts in the early 80s.

Everyone else is fighting for second place.

Wasn't that a gentle slide though? I guess I was thinking of a singular moment or song.

Not really, other than just the duration. I guess part of it is the hypocrisy of Bay Area Marxists chasing the almighty dollar to the bitter end.

Got to pay those coke dealers some kind of way, I guess.

nearly every band was trying to sell out in the late 70's
one of my favorite Garcia quotes is something along lines of "we tried to sell out, but nobody was buying"

'Disco' Rod Stewart. Arguably one of the best voices in rock releasing "Do You Think I'm Sexy.

Unforgivable.
