Very simple. What's the best song one artist/band has done about another artist/band?

I wiki'd this and couldn't find that it was about another band. Unless you are saying the Rolling Stones who loaned Deep Purple their mobile studio.

This reminds me of another song. It's not great or even good, really, but it's catchy. Hootie and the Blowfish's "I only Want to be With You" references Bob Dylan quite a bit and even quotes "Tangled Up In Blue." So much so that I think he sued and won. Which was always strange to me as they credited him in the lyrics. I assumed you could quote someone's lyrics if you attributed it to them. Maybe you have to do it in the liner notes or something.

That makes sense. He played the last show at this venue(casino/hotel, maybe) and it caught fire. Deep Purple watched it burn down from their hotel. The "water" was a Lake Geneva.
