but I can't listen to Sufjan and whispery emo shite like that for long.

Illinois is far from whispery emo shite and is one of the best albums of the past 10ish years. Such a fun, interesting and creative album

Honestly, the only music he's released like you're describing is his most recent project. I can definitely see how it's tough to listen to

Yeah I was pretty much only talking about C & L. And for the record I respect him a lot, it's just not something I want to put on one of my productivity playlists.

All I've seen of him was one video. It was very promising. Him and a hippy chick sitting in an old black mans kitchen. TVZ plays a song and the black man cries. The hippy, of course hugs.

The hippy chick is Susanna Clark, wife of Guy and both good friends of TVZ and I'm sure Guy is in the video too. Townes was an awesome lyricist, nobody can touch him IMO. But he wasn't much of a singer.

Emmanuel just makes me want to put my guitars on eBay.

Tommy Emmanuel and Sungha Jung(20 + or -)that's been doing it on that level since he was a kid,are there to be amazed at.

I could live to be a million and not learn how to do what they do with a guitar.

Gordon Lightfoot.....If You Could Read My Mind
Carefree Highway

Jim Crocie........ I have a Dream(was in Django Unchained)

Concrete Blonde......Little Conversations
Tomorrow Wendy

Pink Floyd...........Wish You Were Here

Pearl Jam..............Enderly Lady Behind the Counter in a Small Town
Better Man
Black

Live..................All Over You
Lighting Crashes
Selling the Drama

REM...................End of the World
Pop Song(very easy)
Fall on Me
(A lot of good REM songs can be played. Those are the ones I can play from memory)

Neal Young.........So many,but,Old Man,Needle and the Damage Done,many more.

Crosby,Stills,and Nash........Suite Judy Blue Eyes
Southern Cross

Led Zepplin..................Over the Hills and Far Away,Tangerine,Hey,Hey,What can I Say.

I play a lot of The Who.There were always acoustic versions by Pete Townshend of most of their Songs.

Have fun. Those are just some that I play.I'll add more.

reminds me of the girl in dazed and Confused. All she does is sit around, and smoke, and look hot.

I'll have to google her. I bet the years were not kind.

I later saw an interview about him, and I guess that house? Basically Guy Clark telling a story that they were all so drunk one night that "Susanna and Townes made me so fricking crazy I nailed myself into a room". He took a handful of nails and nailed his door shut. The hammer he had was too small to pull the nails later when he had to piss.

I googled. They weren't. she died at 73. Which is probably equivalent to 103 in for a smoking power drinker.

Guy recently died too.

Almost EVERY photo of them on google images, they have a cigarette.

Go to Ultmate Guitar Chords.

I only play 2 Barre Chords and those are 2 finger.B and B-flat.B-flat you barre the 1st fret and hold string 2,3,and 4 on the 3rd fret with your ring finger.
B you do the same except barre the 2nd fret and hold 2,3,and 4 on the 4th fret.

All those songs can be played without Barre Chords.
