Mettalica circa late 90s in Lafayette

Kenny Chesney (suprisingly) played for 3 hours and was real good.

Better Than Ezra at the first Voodoo

But the best to me and probably because its my favorite band in my hometown was Styx at the Houma Civic Center.

Fandango 1975, City Park Stadium in New Orleans. ZZ Top was headline (their tour) with Aerosmith, Jeff Beck and Fleetwood Mac. Rained like crazy but was fun experience, awesome music and special scene.

I was at this show. What a blast. I remember Jeff Beck trying to play through the rain but said he kept getting shocked.

If i had to go with an unbiased opinion, I would have to say Bon Iver at Jazz Fest 2011. I went into it not knowing what to expect and left with a different view of life.

The other completely biased opinion was Jack White at Voodoo 2012. He is a rock God to me and was better than I could have imagined.

1997, I was there. It was indeed a great show. My ears were ringing for three days after.

He sure did, forgot all about that. There were six of us and we stayed in one room at some cheap hotel on the outskirts of downtown - two story job, rooms to the outside, real safe.

Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie. ( I believe Nov. 2000) awesome show, that blind, mumbling, Mofo could barely talk and walk, but when he got on stage he can put on a show and sing.

Metallica and GNR in Superdome 1992 I think. ( 1st concert)

Pink Floyd - Division Bell Tour at Vanderbilt Football Stadium 1994(?)

Ozzy Osbourne - No More Tours Tour. When he went into retirement after the No More Tears album. Alice in Chains opened up. Ozzy's band was Black Sabbath minus Tommy Iommi. Zack Wylde played guitar.

Gibson Guitars 100th Anniversary - KISS and Fleetwood Mac minus Stevie Nicks. Chick singer was the girl the song Rhiannon was written about.

1987 Motley Crue - opening act: Guns & fking Roses

November 7th...remember it like it was yesterday. My whole group of friends who went together back then are going to the show in September. 16 bucks in `87...10 times that much this time around. I miss those general admission shows at the Lakefront Arena.

That was actually the first concert I ever attended. I saw them in Huntsville the day before Appetite dropped in record stores. GnR was amazing before Axl got the big head. They blew me away!!! They had half the equipment and were twice as loud as the Crue.
