--I have 2 copies of the Eponymous CD as well--wife had it too when we got married!

I have all REM on CD, but only about 5 on LP--Eponymous is not one of those, however, with 2 CD copies, I felt it a bit overkill to get it on vinyl too (especially since most of the tracks are on some other album).

I may pull out some now actually...

Marco...

In the next week or 2 im ordering the vandersteens finally!
I will be ordering the interconnects, cables, center weight and vibrapods as well. I'm going to try to find a piece of granite from a local place to place the TT on too.

I'll have the Nomad, quad and vandersteens. Is there anything else I need to grab that I'm not thinking of to go along with the cables, interconnects, weight and pods?

A $20 record cleaning brush.

And it is always helpful to have a spare 2M or 3M length of RCA cables as you may need to move a piece of gear farther away than you planned...you can get a cheap pair of them from AudioQuest for around $30 or so from MusicDirect big sale page.

I just did some damage on ElusiveDisc site...ordered a total of 25 LPs that were calling for me (damned box sets and limited edition vinyl releases--but if you don't get them when they are first announced, you are SOL).

There are a bunch of box sets just released....Tom Petty (9 LP), Free (6 LP), Faces (5 LP), Phil Collins (4 LP), Slayer (11 LP)....and a bunch more of 180g 2 and 3 LP releases too--Mudcrutch, Earth, Wind & Fire, Blue Oyster Cult, Duanne Allman Anthology---all first time reissues on vinyl--so they will go fast.

...and all the KISS records are being done by Bernie Grundman from master tapes on 180g!!---definitely worth a Deuce!

...and Grateful Dead "Two From the Vault"--4LP...will go quickly too.

And those are just the ones I can remember

--it's a great day when I get home from work and there is a big box from ElusiveDisc at the door!!

I should be fully stocked now to get me through the holiday season once this arrives--hopefully by Friday!

Glad to hear you are getting around to it now--I was actually going to ask this week where you were with it!

Enjoy it...

And if you are into it...

The 6 LP Jerry Garcia/Merle Saunders Keystone Encores box may be one that gets rare too...just released.

Ah... knew I was forgetting something.

Looks like your CC took a hit.

Thanks for the heads up on the vinyl. I'll have to give it a look.

I am looking up your records on Tidal streaming later tonight to give them a listen.

Between your posts and river_man's posts, I have discovered at least 10 new artists that I like!

I just got back into town after being gone for almost 2 weeks...and a giant box was at the door waiting when I got home today!

Gonna watch football and spin records all weekend...

Excellent! Yeah, I've definitely picked up some new bands from you and others that post on here.

Nothing better than coming home to presents you bought for yourself. In fact, I have one I'm hoping gets delivered tomorrow.

Listening to this while watching the 'Aints...

(Shark--I FINALLY picked it up!)

Rush--"Moving Pictures"...Polydor Records, 200g reissue, 1981/2015.

Just as with every one of the Rush reissues--this one is no different...a 10/10 for sonics!!
The background is just dead silent--no pops, no ticks--just pure music that is dynamic as hell. This is one of the best reissue series I've heard.
