Maybe one day you can bless us with your thoughts on speaker placement. This can really make a big difference in the sound of your set-up. It can make "good" systems sound not so good. Should the manufactor's instructions be followed exactly? Toe in? Rake angle? I feel like I'm always messing around with mine trying to get the absolute best out of them, and often getting very frustrated in the process. All rooms are different so I'm not sure all those formulas and measurements will benefit everyone. Any tips??

If you are having issues with not being able to nail it by making adjustments in speaker placement, you may want to try some room acoustics in the form of sound traps, rugs, wall tapestries, and corner triangles.
You need to come with me next time I go to Audio Dave's place in Thibadoux--he is a master at room treatments, and even had his dedicated room acoustically measured. He is a wealth of knowledge in this regard. He will even come to your place and do a frequency sweep to help with placement (he had done it for a bunch of us audio heads in the area). He is a really nice fella--and also uses a big pair of Odyssey Amps too!

Picked up this "already waiting on repress" reissue of The Wall today at Barnes and Noble...
Man, this thing has balls! Nice clarity, depth, and dynamics. So far so good on these 2016 Floyd reissues. Meddle and Obscured By Clouds will be arriving tomorrow.

Meddle and Obscured By Clouds have arrived. Nice, clean, flat vinyl, which is to be expected considering the ones released so far. Packaging done well also, with the textured cover of Meddle and the rounded corners of OBC. Will be spinning soon...
