He's playing with Steely Dan this summer.
Kind of strange.

Then he will file his nails while they're dragging the lake.

Wow ! What a great show. He killed indeed. It was like sitting in his living room. He played the 2 1/2 hour set completely solo, except for four songs with Allen Toussaint, which also blew the doors down.

He told a great story about how his Dad played on The Queen's Command Performance in 1963 and was excellent, but that the Beatles played later and John Lennon made his famous remark " ‘For our last number, I’d like to ask your help. Will the people in the cheaper seats clap your hands? And for the rest of you, if you’ll just rattle your jewelry…" and his Dad's performance was completely overshadowed. Then after the next song, he left the stage and a video of his Dad's performance (his Dad was The Boss) played and the crowd cheered his Pops on 50 years later. Then he came back on stage and quipped "You didn't think I was lying did you".

It was such a great show and exceeded expectations. The most intimate "big" performance I have ever seen. A solo performance takes balls and gravitas, and Elvis was like a force of nature, much more commanding a presence than when he shares the stage with The Attractions or others backing members.

He's not even close to being one of my favorite artists, but that was without a doubt one of my favorite concerts. So upbeat, so positive, I left with a huge smile and a bit sad I couldn't go hang out with him and hear more cool stories.

Saw him last night on LPB Allen Toussaint special, he really really sucked. Couldn't sing on key at all, ruined some very good music

Really hope I get a chance to see him. Definitely on my bucket list. A buddy of mine caught his show at the Ryman a few years back and was blown away by it.
