Amazon Prime music has been a main reason I subscribe to Prime, along with the free shipping and Prime movies and TV shows on my Firestick. But now there is this new thing Amazon Music Unlimited. It requires a monthly subscription above the cost of Prime. I'm noticing more music is being made available thru Unlimited and less via Prime. Is this the wave of the future for Amazon based music? Am I going to wake up one day to Alexa refusing to play music unless I subscribe, or an Amazon email informing me that my Prime music perks are a thing of the past? But that I can still subscribe to Unlimited for some extra $$$. Anybody hear anything about this?

Have not heard of it.

Amazon kicks arse in so many ways, but they missed it on music. Left behind.

If you're a Prime member then Music Unlimited is great. It's a yearly $79 fee which is far cheaper than any other music streaming service. Just regular Prime music had a pretty minimal selection. It's good enough to replace Google Music or Spotify if you already pay for that.

I cancelled Spotify about 6 months ago bc I pay for prime. At first it wasn't terrible, now you can tell they are making a push for unlimited. I want my Spotify back.

I just discovered this and I love it. It's a great deal.
